I couldn’t help myself. I had to pick up some yellow mums the other day.

Remember the “about to bloom aloe?” Here it is as of yesterday.

Closer view…

I know I tend to go on and on about texture. But just look at this intricate bloom.

The hyacinth bean vine is about to take over.

I hope you have a wonderful, fall-tinged Sunday in your garden.

  1. As usual, your photos leave me green with envy. Please, please, please, save the seed from those hyacinth bean vines and send me a couple! (OK, if you don’t get them harvested, give me the url for the website you ordered them from, was it Renee’s, I can’t remember).

Did you ever get your banner like you wanted it? I’m looking forward to the “season premiere of thebrendablog!

  8. The yellow mums are gorgeous and the aloe plant is really amazing. My grandmother always kept an aloe plant but I don’t think it ever bloomed. It is really cool.

  9. Beautiful post, Brenda! When we got home from the lake, this afternoon, the first thing I noticed was the mums by the breakfast room and driveway. They’re full of buds. Can’t wait to see them open up!

I’ve had several aloe’s but never saw a bloom on any of them.

    Have a great week!

  10. Oh, I love the yellow mum. I haven’t seen any of that sort up here. And I have never seen an aloe bloom– thanks so much for showing me! I tried to take a picture of my green glass vase today, but it did not come out nearly as spectacular. I love the light in glass.
