Today my neighbor Walli and I toured a few gardens in the Azalea District.

No one around us seemed to know what the plant below is. Can you “name that plant?”

Just look at these ponds…

And they have a pool…

Obviously an artist of many colors lives here…

  2. Hi Brenda! Thanks for taking us on the tour with you. Going on garden tours is one of our favorite things to do. We are planning to tour gardens when we go to Savannah in 2 1/2 weeks.

Tyler is such a pretty place!

  3. Gorgeous!!

That plant looks a nasturshium ,we grow those in the back yard, the leaves are nearly like that but rounder.

  5. Hi Brenda, what a charming garden. I don’t know that plant, sorry. But I know what I like, and I like the tea party in the pond! I also really like azaleas, and it is cheering to know ours will be blooming in a few weeks. The use of them by the waterfall is fabulous. Thanks for showing us this lovely garden.

  6. Stunning photos of stunning gardens! Thanks for sharing. Somehow I don’t think the unidentified plant is a nastursium, but what it is I cannot say.

  8. At first glance I thought a nasturtium, but no, I think it is a type of ligularia as the leaves are so big and shiny and together. Perhaps? A moisture love it is and very pretty. I hope mine blooms this year. There are many different types. Not sure the cultivar if that is what it is. Tyler ponds and gardens are sure lovely!

  11. How lovely! Wow, if I had one of those water features, I wouldn’t have to worry about any other landscaping, it would take up the entire back yard! Love the color!

  12. Hi Brenda,

The gardens are lovely. I love the ponds! We have a local garden tour sponsered by the Master Gardener’s Association in May. Next weekend is the historical home tours! I will be a docent at one house for a few hours on Saturday. Then, on Sunday, my husband and I will go on the tours.

    Blessings,

  16. I think Tina is right about your mystery plant… Ligularia indeed.

  17. I liked this sooo much that I made a copy to show my husband. We have a huge pile of bricks stored on the side of the house right now from a previous project…I will try to talk him into a patio like that. The moss on the patio is just a bonus.
